In the 1980's, I was a Connecticut State
Representative from Groton/New London, known as the 41st
District. In this capacity, I was chairman of the Public
Safety Committee, and chaired The Sub Committee on all Police
and Fire Matters. I was awarded Legislator of the Year for
Police and Fire Training, and Veterans Legislation. During
this time, I worked with Dr. Henry Lee, establishing the
Connecticut Forensic Laboratory through the Connecticut State
Police. Additionally, I established a Veterans Out-Reach
Center in Groton.
I was elected and served on the Groton
City Council, and Groton Town Council. I was a member of
the Groton Representative Town Meeting (RTM) for many years.
I also, was a member of the Groton City and Groton Town Planning
Commission.
In the 1990's, I was a Deputy Sheriff for
the State of Connecticut in New London County under the reins
of the High Sheriff Thomas G. Martin.
In 2000, I became a Real Estate Agent, and
am now with RE/MAX Property Consultants located in Groton, CT.
I am a member of the Jupiter Point Association
Homeowners Association, the Thames Street Revitilization, and
a board member of the 100 Club State of Connecticut. |
